National Autistic Society South Gloucestershire Branch

We are a parent-led committee run by volunteers who are mainly parents of autistic children or young people. Our goal is to help and support autistic children and young people, their families and friends. Many of our families have youngsters with a comorbid diagnosis of other conditions such as ADHD, dyslexia, social communication disorder, pathological demand avoidance and/or sensory processing difficulties.

We organise activities for children and young people on the Autistic Spectrum as well as supporting parents in the form of a daytime and evening support group once a month.

You do not have to have a formal diagnosis to attend our support groups as we recognise waiting for a diagnosis is a difficult time. However, children and young people need to currently have a diagnosis of ASD, Aspergers Syndrome or Social Communication Disorder and live in South Gloucestershire to access our activities.

We offer support over the telephone or by e-mail, however please respect that we are parents of autistic children and young people and we are volunteers for the NAS, so we may take some time to respond to your enquiry
