Bridge College - A special FE college
Bridge College is a non-residential specialist FE college. We offer specialist education for students aged 16 to 25 with learning difficulties, disabilities, complex health needs and autism.
We’re here to give students a voice in their future and get them ready for a happy, fulfilled adulthood. Our flexible curriculum means students can make choices about their education and our support gives them the tools to succeed. We develop individual learning plans shaped to suit each student’s interests, needs and aspirations so everyone leaves with the skills and self-confidence for their future.
From day one, every student has a multi skilled team around them, from tutors and therapists to nurses, support staff and assistive tech. We can even provide specialist staff training to tailor our expertise right down to the individual.
Everything we do is underpinned by the preparing for adulthood framework, helping students work towards their life ambitions. Based in central Manchester we prepare our students for all aspects of adulthood, from future work and community life to independent and healthy living.

Parents, carers, students and professionals are welcome to contact Bridge College directly or through Together Trust’s main reception.
Most students think about applying in their last year of school, however, it can take time to decide whether Bridge College is right for you and to have a full assessment of your needs, so it is a good idea to arrange to visit us well before this. Our advice is to apply in plenty of time.
Places are usually funded by the EFA and the local authority for students with a Learning Disability Assessment or Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), although individualised budgets can be used for specific services.
Sometimes applying for a place at a specialist college can be hard because lots of questions are asked and you will be asked to consider alternatives – even if you don’t think they are right for you and are not your first choice. Don’t let that put you off – ask for help from your Connexions Advisor – and of course, you can contact us at Bridge College too.
To get in touch or ask for an application, you can call, email or send us a message. You are welcome to visit us, just phone 0161 487 4293 or email admin@bridgecollege.ac.uk or send us a message via our website at http://www.togethertrust.org.uk/applying-bridge to arrange an appointment. We will send you further information and invite you to tour Bridge College. We advise you apply in good time because it can take a while to fully assess your needs, process your application and secure funding.
